The Taycan Turbo S allows for 800 PS / 1050Nm from factory in launch control mode at 100% SoC. The factory supplied figure of 761 PS is delivered at up to 85% SoC. With our software upgrade the full launch control power and torque are available during normal driving, giving a power increase of 175 PS and a torque increase of 100 Nm.

  • We never modify your original controller. A modified controller is detected during dealer visits and can be grounds for warranty refusal. Instead you get a brand new hot-swappable controller, included in the price and can re-fit your original one at any time.
  • MapEV has a unique modification to the code in the controller not offered by any other companies, which puts the inverters into launch mode any time the throttle is floored. Without this modification there is absolutely no difference in performance from 0-40km/h, no matter what is claimed.
  • Another unique modification is bypassing the torque damping when the throttle is moved sharply, significantly improving the throttle response without affecting refinement in every day driving.
  • Only MapEV offers remote updates of your controller. Any new development or updates can be flashed using the same ENET cable you use to order without having to send the ECU back in. In case of other companies you have to mail your controller or show up in person.
  • The transmission shiftpoints are modified to produce the best possible power curve.
  • As an option we offer different regeneration settings – from a modest 30% increase to a 300% increase, which is closer to one pedal driving. Your choice.

Only the artificial commercial limitations in the powertrain control module are altered. The electric motor controllers and the battery controller are not modified in any way and their output never exceeds the factory rated maximum safety parameters. The limitations of the thermal envelope also remain fully intact.

You always receive a brand new plug and play powertrain control module customized for your specific vehicle.

The new module is fully remotely updatable using a PC and ENET cable – should there be any changes to your preferences or in the unlikely case that a software update is required, this can be performed by a distributor or from the comfort of your home.

Your original control module is not modified, and may be re-fitted at any time and for any reason – dealer visits, sale of the vehicle or for a back to back comparison.

In light of recent developments we do not recommend modifying the original module under any circumstances. Dealer level diagnostic equipment currently detects modified modules and silently flags the car as modified on the central server, which may cause denied warranty claims and refusal of warranty extensions at any point in the future.

Our software includes a special function, which at wide open throttle puts the motor controllers into launch mode even during normal driving. Simultaneously the suspension is stiffened and the traction control adjusted for optimal acceleration. Without this unique function, that only we provide, it is impossible to exceed 950 Nm of torque outside of launch control.

The powertrain controller has a feature called “Anti-surge damping” or in simpler words – torque request filtering. It exists for two reasons – to provide refinement of the power delivery and protect the drivetrain from excessive lash.

Completely disabling the damping is not a good solution – resulting in jerky throttle behaviour and being potentially damaging to the powertrain due to excessive bucking. The controller contains a function, which is not calibrated and disabled from factory – “Filter deactivation with pre-tensioned drivetrain”. We enable and calibrate this function, which as long as there is sufficient forward torque on the powertrain allows bypassing the filtering whenever the driver performs sudden throttle movements.

For you this means much sharper and less delayed throttle response during spirited driving without affecting the carefully crafted refinement of the vehicle or placing undue stress on the powertrain.

The shiftpoints in the transmission have been optimized in all modes to provide consistent power delivery allowing for the largest possible area under the curve.

The artificial top speed limitation has been removed, and the maximum speed is governed only by the maximum RPM of the electric motors, which is reached at 270km/h.
